ENGLISH & SOCCER PROGRAME 2008
Manchester United Soccer Schools and Clifton College have combined to offer a unique course where young players can learn English and develop their soccer skills at the same time.
Ages - 10 to 17 yrs
This fantastic one or two week programme combines up to 20 hours of soccer coaching per week with 12 hours of high quality English language tuition. The soccer coaching programme is based upon the skills and techniques used at the Manchester United Academy. You will experience living, training and playing like the youth players at Manchester United.
The English language syllabus has been specifically designed for children with an interest in soccer and Manchester United. The lessons will be active and stimulating, with a variety of interesting exercises that provide students with essential practice in the four skills of:
- Speaking
- Listening
- Reading
- Writing
The English language tuition will be delivered by The Language Project, a Bristol based company that works closely with Clifton College. All teachers are fully trained and have formal teaching qualifications. For more information about The Language Project please go to www.languageproject.co.uk
